Brief Information about Intercultural Playback Theatre;
The project will include the following 4 phases in 2020:
Online preparation (March/April)
Training program (26.04 – 03.05.2020)
Implementation of the lessons learned (June-September): conduct at least one local activity and disseminate the lessons learnt
Online evaluation seminar (half day in early October)
This project aims to provide youth workers with competences to create social change for their youth groups. Participants will specifically gain knowledge, skills and attitudes towards intercultural learning and its aspects- active listening, recognition of various sides of one story, and exploration on how expressed emotions and feelings help us to create meaningful conversations around cultures and identity. Throughout the course we will explore how Playback theatre can help to facilitate cross-cultural communication of youth in their organisations and communities. With these skills, the participants will be able to implement and create theatre games, communication workshops and activities to facilitate meaningful cultural exchange in their own organisations.
Participants profile
You can apply to participate if you:
*Are actively involved in activities for young people in the broad sense
Have some experience in non-formal education and experiential learning either as a trainer, youth educator or youth worker
*Are ready to learn, explore, discover and develop their skills, competences and know-how and will be able to use it later in their communities
*Come from Turkey
*Speak English sufficiently to express yourself and participate in the course
*Are committed to participate in all phases of the project (see below), including attending all days of the training course (TC) in Italy.
Financial Arrangements
Travel Budget participants from Turkey is up to 360 EURO.
Accommodation, food will be fully covered. Visa costs will be reimbursed to Turkish participants based on real costs and original documents justifying those costs.
